Theme Salon: How Social Enterprises in Bangladesh Innovate to Solve Social Problems
Elwin, who works for a well-known social enterprise in China, went to Bangladesh in June this year to make an in-depth visit to local social enterprises and social issues, met Yunus, the Nobel Peace Prize winner, chatted with lenders at Grameen Bank, a famous microfinance bank, and took part in the best international social enterprise forum. Although it was only 10 days, it made Elwin have a new perspective on life and society. After coming back from Bangladesh, he launched Social Enterprise Innovation (SEI), a social enterprise innovation program, in the hope of helping more people to understand social enterprises, so that they can join social enterprises and solve more social problems.
