Introduction of the Initiator

Mr. Zheng Weining has suffered from hemophilia since childhood. Death has always been his constant companion. For twenty years, he has received blood transfusions to sustain his life and has to rely on his meager income to make a living. He was called "an incredible miracle of life" by the medical community. He has been capable of doing everything since childhood. For ten years, he has been self-studying programming and has become a major in TV programs, namely "Chinese", "Law" and "Enterprise".

At the end of the last century, in pursuit of a "way of life" of his own, he used the meager savings left to him by his parents to create friends at home in Shenzhen. Starting from a self-help organization of five disabled friends with just one computer, it continued to grow and began to carry out the great cause of helping the disabled in the new knowledge economy era. Today, "Home for Disabled Friends" has become a model brand of social innovation and public welfare for the disabled in China, and it also carries the hopes and dreams of the disabled community.

Mr. Zheng Weining was invited to attend the 2009 Summer Davos Forum as a national social enterprise for the disabled. He was hailed by the media as "China's No. 1" social entrepreneur. The social enterprise for the disabled he created won the only gold award in the international community and was included in the "2012 National Social Enterprise Development Report" of the Central Academy of Social Sciences. Mr. Zheng Weining is a national online figure for the disabled. In 2008, he was selected as a torchbearer for the Paralympic Games and was honored as one of the "Top Ten Meritorious Figures of Social Organizations" at the first Shenzhen Disabled People's Congress.

Mr. Zheng Weining's attitude towards young people is "Encourage progress and don't be afraid of failure". Like all his jobs, he is full of enthusiasm. Because of the repeated personal experiences, the attitude of young people being content with mediocrity is "a daily battle"!
