May 2, 2014, the 18th "China Youth May Fourth Medal" selection was officially announced, disabled friend Liu Yong as a volunteer to aid Xinjiang, long-term struggle in Kashgar, Xinjiang, made an important contribution to national integration, won the 18th "China Youth May Fourth Medal. The "China Youth May Fourth Medal" is the highest honor awarded to young people by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and the All-China Youth Federation.

   Liu Yong is the director of Shenzhen Zheng Weining Charity Foundation, vice chairman of Shenzhen Canyou Holding Company Limited, and chairman of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Kashgar Canyou Technology Company Limited. He has suffered from a crushing spinal fracture since childhood, but his disability has made him active in helping the disabled and other disadvantaged groups through the establishment of a number of social organizations. He has also been awarded the China Charity Award, the National Star Disabled Worker, and the Xinjiang "Struggle to Change Destiny" Advanced Model Person.
