Time:2011-07-24
The first general meeting of Shenzhen Volunteer Association for the Care of Canyou was held at the headquarters of Canyou Group at 3:00 p.m. on July 23rd, 2011. More than 80 members gathered together with the leaders of Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Civil Affairs and the veteran volunteers of Canyou along the way to talk about the future direction of the development of Shenzhen Volunteer Association for the Care of Canyou.
Shenzhen Care for the Disabled Volunteer Association was founded by Shenzhen Zheng Weining Charitable Foundation, Shenzhen Canyou Group and other 16 unit members, and Zheng Weining, Liao Caimei, Shu Siyuan, Wang Lili, Luo Bin, Gao Zhengrong and other 61 individual members. Mr. Li Weisheng, Director of the Registration Office of Shenzhen Municipal People's Government, attended the meeting.
As the first association established specifically for volunteers in Shenzhen, Shenzhen Volunteer Association for the Care of Canyou advocates the spirit of volunteer service "with big love, do small things", and Shenzhen volunteers are a bright landscape in China's volunteer team. Volunteer service also makes the beautiful Pengcheng add the beauty of civilization and harmony. At present, the volunteer service of Shenzhen volunteers presents the characteristics of community development, project development and professional development, etc. Care for the Disabled Volunteer Association was established based on these characteristics.
At the same time, the establishment of the Association can cooperate with large social organizations to explore innovative volunteer organization model. During the 12 years of growth of Canyou's Club, a large number of volunteers have joined the club, and they have made great contributions to the development of Canyou's Club, so the development of volunteers themselves is also very important to Canyou's Club, and Canyou's Club will provide a good platform for volunteers to develop. In terms of institutional setup, the association will establish a center responsibility system, with the Old Volunteer Advisory Group on top, and the office of the association underneath, which will be responsible for the specific coordination work. There will be 9 centers, which will be headed by veteran volunteers to carry out specific work. 9 centers are: Social Help Service Center, Trauma Assistance Service Center, Elderly Service Center, Safe Travel and Education Service Center, Social Research Service Center, Geographic Information and Convenience Service Center, Single Parent Family Skills and Emotional Support Center, Barrier-Free Service Center, and Logistic Support Center for Canyou. In addition, membership is the foundation of the association's activities. In 2011, the association will absorb more outstanding volunteers to become members, and will focus on the development of professional volunteers, long-term volunteers, and overseas volunteers, and, at the same time, systematize the recruitment and management of volunteers. 1. Professional volunteers are those who have specialized knowledge in a certain field and share their knowledge and skills as a voluntary service. After the establishment of Handicapped Friends, professionals from all walks of life have come to Handicapped Friends to volunteer their services and provide guidance and counseling on legal, financial and technical issues. Now Canyou has formed a national network of 1 foundation, 6 non-profit organizations and 29 social enterprises with 3,000 Canyou, which will be the best stage for professional volunteers.2. Long-term volunteers are those who have been volunteering for a period of time in the association or related partner organizations. There are already more than 10 young long-term volunteers serving in Canyou, and we will recruit more young people who have the spirit of volunteering.
3. Overseas volunteer recruitment. The Association has established contact with the British Overseas Volunteer Service, the U.S. Embassy and other organizations to recruit overseas volunteers on a regular basis. 4. The Association will also improve the membership management system, strictly check the membership, and issue volunteer service cards for members.
