On July 11th, "Foundation Transparency Open Day" was successfully held at Zheng Weining Charity Foundation, which was initiated by FoundationCenter.com and jointly organized by FoundationCenter.com and Shenzhen Zheng Weining Charity Foundation. With the theme of "Successful Practice of Social Innovation Models - Foundations Holding Social Enterprises to Ensure Their Public Welfare and Sustainable Development", this is the second event after the Transparency Open Day jointly organized by Foundation Center Network and China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA) on April 20, with more than 40 people concerned about the transparency of foundations. More than 40 members of the public, media and public welfare industry witnessed the positive exploration of the public welfare industry on the road of openness and transparency after a lot of skepticism.
Mr. Zheng Weining, the founder and executive chairman of Zheng Weining Charitable Foundation, who suffers from severe hemophilia, attended the event in person, and as the keynote speaker, introduced to the participants in detail the background of the establishment of the Foundation, its history of development, its values, and its development goals. He also responded in detail to the relationship between the Foundation and the Canyou Group, known as "China's No. 1 Social Enterprise", under the unique model of "Trinity", and how the Foundation ensures the public welfare and development of the Canyou Group, and other issues of concern to the participants. Many visitors said that it was the first time they had a close contact with the foundation and were impressed by the continuous exploration of Zheng Weining Charity Foundation and Canyou Group for the disadvantaged groups in China under the condition of knowledge economy. And from fundraising to the use of funds, project planning, the operation of the organization has been rich in transparent information sharing, but also realize that the foundation should and can disclose what information and data, can be more effective to strengthen the openness of the organization, enhance the knowledge of the community about the foundation, to achieve close contact and communication with the public and the media.
