Participation in the 12th International Conference on Mobility and Transportation Services for the Elderly and People with Disabilities in Hong Kong

On June 2, 2010, a delegation of nine members from the Shenzhen Zheng Weining Charity Foundation was invited to attend the "12th International Conference on Mobility and Transportation Services for the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities", which was hosted by the Rehabilitation Society of Hong Kong and co-organized by the Direction Association for the Handicapped. The 12th International Conference on Mobility and Transportation Services for the Elderly and People with Disabilities" was organized by the Rehabilitation Society of Hong Kong and co-organized by the Direction Association for the Quadriplegic Disabled. The conference was supported by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Labour and Welfare Bureau, and was co-sponsored by the U.S. Transportation Research Board, with hundreds of delegates from different countries of the world participating in the conference. The theme of the conference is "Sustainable Accessible Transportation and Tourism", which aims to recognize international technological breakthroughs and explore innovative technologies; to plan, research and share policies and developments in the areas of ageing population and persons with disabilities and accessible transportation and transport services.

During the meeting, Mr. Cheung Kin Fai, Chairman of the Rehabilitation Society of Hong Kong, exchanged views with representatives of the Foundation, and Mr. Lee Yuen Tai, Chairman of the Direction Association for the Handicapped, hosted a special banquet for representatives of the Foundation.
