I. What is the Kite Program?

The Kite Program is a six-month remote public service internship program initiated by the Shenzhen Zheng Weining Charity Foundation for college students interested in public service at major universities across China. We are committed to cultivating young public welfare heroes, so that college students in the exercise to enhance the ability at the same time, more can re-understand the public welfare; at the same time, the kite program will gather the national enthusiasm for public welfare college students, to establish its coverage of colleges and universities of the voluntary organization network.

The first phase of the Kite Program will recruit six interns for Project Assistant positions.

II. Who can join the Kite Program?

[2]Requirements for application

1. Duration of the internship: six months starting from September 2, 2013. Those with excellent performance may apply for further internship;

2. More time after school, at least 6 hours of work time per week is guaranteed (end of term time can be adjusted by negotiation);

3. Efficient execution, deliverables can be completed on time and with quality, project experience is preferred;

4. Strong sense of responsibility, down-to-earth and willing to work, passionate and thoughtful about public welfare, and interested in helping people with disabilities.

5.Skilled in using Photoshop, Acoustic Video and other photo and video editing software is preferred.

Third, what do you need to do?

After being selected for the Kite Program, you will have a one-month probationary period. After passing the probationary period assessment, interns can give full play to their autonomy. The main work consists of the following areas:

[1]Participate in the planning and execution of the Foundation's programs throughout the entire process;

[2]Fundraising management;

[3]Online and offline promotion;

[4]In the middle and late stages of the Project Kite internship, we will empower interns with strong leadership skills to find local work partners, assist in recruiting talented college students with disabilities, and other tasks;

[5] Other tasks as delivered by the Foundation.

Four, what can you gain?

[1]At the end of the internship you will be awarded a certificate and commemorative medal issued by the founder, Mr. Weining Zheng, in his own handwriting; among them, those who have excellent performance will be prioritized to receive the Foundation's offer after graduation or be recommended to the relevant organizations.

[2]Becoming a member of the Kite Program, you will be given a unique Kite Program member number, establish a long-term bond with the Zheng Weining Charitable Foundation, and have the opportunity to participate in public service projects organized by the Foundation on a priority basis.

[3]Remote interns are able to gain an in-depth understanding of, and learn about, the foundation's operating model, actually participate in project planning and execution, and have real-world work experience. In the joint fleet of Canyou Charity Remote, the six-month internship experience will give you an in-depth internship experience in a public welfare organization;

[4]We encourage New Ideas, as long as your Idea is proved to be feasible, it is likely to be adopted and promoted to foundations, social organizations, and social enterprises for the cause of people with disabilities, so as to bring your dream into reality;

[5]Excellent interns will have the opportunity to work on-site at Canyous' Friendship Headquarters and branches nationwide, and even better, they will have the opportunity to become Canyous' Friendship backbones or start a business with the support of Canyous' Friendship.

[6]During the internship period, you will have the opportunity to participate in professional skills training related to public welfare, be the first to learn about public welfare information, including public welfare competitions, forums and other activities, and get to know the outstanding public welfare young people from all over the country.
