Participation in the "Training Course for Leaders of Non-Public Foundations" organized by the Ministry of Civil Affairs

On March 24-26, 2010, the vice president of the Foundation, Mr. Liu Navy, and the secretary-general of the Foundation traveled to Guangzhou to participate in the "Training Course for Leaders of Non-Publicly Fundraising Foundations" hosted by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People's Republic of China (MOCA).
During the training course, government staff, experts, scholars and practitioners gave lectures on foundation policies and regulations, foundation management regulations and study of practical issues, management of nonpublic foundations and operation of public welfare projects, legal planning for nonpublic foundations: financial relations, governance structure and tax incentives, and strategic planning. Through the study and exchange, it will help the leaders of non-public foundations to improve their management level and ability; establish an internal management system with the constitution as the core in accordance with the national laws; operate the funds legally, safely and effectively; improve the social credibility and self-discipline; design public welfare projects scientifically and reasonably; and become a public welfare organization with orderly management, standardized behaviors, and remarkable results in public welfare activities.
